I love this how you are putting the progress of the painting. I see the pre-drawing on the canvas... one of the reasons i dropped out of my oil painting class, the professor was drying me crazy. in one painting he'd say to work more on my drawing and drawing skills. and in the next, he's critique me and say "what is this, a drawing class?"... anyway, are you sketching using vine charcoal? it looks like pencil...

Thank you, Julya Lim. The drawing is in pencil. Occasionally, I will do my drawing with watercolor pencil. When you then paint with a water-based paint such as watercolors or acrylics, the pencil line gets blended into the painting, virtually disappearing.
Many artists strongly believe in the ability to draw; some paint intuitively. I think that both methods are correct; it really depends on how the artist wants to paint.
