"Summer Cottage" is done! I hope. I almost always see something later that I need to adjust. I am definitely happier with the daisies and having a bird adds some life to the painting. I like the texture on the original birdhouse, but it's nice that the acrylic one looks fresher and newer. When I started painting over my original watercolor painting, I thought I was making a huge mistake, but it worked out in the end. The original watercolor is on the left, the new acrylic is on the right."Summer Cottage" is a 9.5"x 13.5" acrylic painting on 140lb. watercolor paper.
